New Delhi: The blueprint for a historic peace agreement between America and Iran is almost ready. In the draft of the ongoing discussions between Washington and Tehran, it has been proposed that maritime traffic through the strategically important Strait of Hormuz will return to pre-war levels within the next 30 days.

the blockade will be lifted

Under this possible agreement, in the initial phase the naval blockade around the Strait of Hormuz will be completely removed. A portion of Iranian funds frozen abroad will also be released with immediate effect.

60 day time limit

Despite this diplomatic progress, the issue of the nuclear program has not yet been completely resolved. Iran has not yet accepted any new assurances to limiting its nuclear activities. Under the draft, a time limit of 30 days is fixed to restore maritime traffic.

deadline created

A separate time limit of 60 days has been created for future talks on nuclear concerns. The Iranian team will not compromise with the country’s honor and sovereignty. If this deal is finalized, America and its allies will guarantee not to attack Iran, which will bring global fuel and food security back on track.

Big success after three months of deadlock

This diplomatic success comes almost three months after the fierce military conflict that broke out in February between Iran, America and Israel. Due to this war, global maritime trade through the Strait of Hormuz was put to a halt. Before the beginning of the war, about 125 to 140 ships passed through this waterway every day.

surge in oil prices

After tension increased, Iran tightened its control over this route and in return America imposed a blockade on ships connected to Iranian ports. This led to a huge decline in traffic and a jump of more than 40 percent in global crude oil prices. Which had increased inflation across the world.

American leadership gave positive signals

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who is visiting India, met Indian Foreign Minister S. In a joint press conference with Jaishankar, it was indicated that the talks are now at a decisive point. Rubio said suffice it to say that some progress has been made. Trump wrote that Washington and Tehran have largely completed negotiations on the peacekeeping framework for reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
