It is being told that Shaynaz Baloch has been introduced as the first female “freedom fighter” or female commander of BLA. In the video, she said that Baloch women are no longer limited to just homes, but are playing an active role in the movement.
BLA has been waging an armed struggle against the Pakistan government and army for a long time. The organization alleges that the resources of Balochistan are being exploited and the local people are not getting their rights. The Pakistan government considers BLA as a terrorist organization and has been running a continuous campaign against it.
The coming forward of the female commander in this manner is also considered important because till now the dominance of only male faces was visible in BLA. Shaynaz Baloch’s message is being seen as a major change in the strategy of the organization.
