The display depicted a young Carvajal standing beside club legend Alfredo Di Stefano, recreating a famous photograph of the two. Carvajal, showing his gratitude towards the fans, made an immediate impact on the pitch by providing an assist for the opening goal against Athletic Club just 12 minutes into the match.
