Robert Lewandowski has decided to end his playing career at Barcelona, but before signing off on Saturday, he gave the fans one last reason to celebrate.
The Polish forward once again demonstrated his elite goal-scoring ability by opening the scoring against Valencia on the final day of Barcelona’s LaLiga title-winning campaign.
Right on the 60-minute mark, Lewandowski turned in a precise volley from Ferran Torres from close range.
That strike marked his 120th goal for the club, securing his place among Barcelona’s top 10 all-time goal scorers at the age of 37.
Remarkably, this milestone sees him surpass legendary names such as Neymar, Ronaldinho, Xavi, Andres Iniesta, Thierry Henry, Ronaldo, David Villa, and Johan Cruyff, among others.
It’s an impressive feat for the striker, achieved in just four years in Spain.
