New Delhi: A major alert has been issued regarding the blast of a chemical tank in California, the most populous state located on the west coast of America. According to the information, a tank filled with toxic chemicals overheated at an industrial site in the Garden Grove area of Orange County, due to which the authorities have been ordered to immediately evacuate about 40,000 people. But let us know what kind of chemical is there in the tank.
What will happen if the tank explodes?
According to the information shared by the officials, a chemical named methyl methacrylate is present in the tank, which is specially used to make plastic. Due to this chemical being highly poisonous, its explosion can cause serious problems to the people present there like burning sensation in the lungs, difficulty in breathing, dizziness and vomiting.

According to Orange County Fire Authority officials, the safe temperature of the tank is considered to be around 50 degrees. However, it was continuously increasing for the last few days and on Friday its temperature was recorded at around 1 degree. Although now it has been reduced to some extent but the problem still remains.

Let us tell you that in view of the seriousness of the matter, a warning has been issued by the authorities. He says that an attempt was made to take out about 7,000 gallons of chemical present in the tank, but this could not be done due to a faulty valve. Now it is being said that either the tank may burst, or the poisonous chemical may spread out due to a crack in it.
In view of this great danger, about 13 schools, two educational institutions have been closed and an area of 9 square miles has been evacuated. However, there are still 15 percent people who are not ready to leave their homes. At present, the administration is keeping an eye on the entire matter and has appealed to all the people to go to safe places. Along with this, a warning has also been given that the situation will worsen due to change in weather.
