Celebrity Tottenham supporter slams Cristian Romero as an 'irredeemable d*ckhead' for skipping decisive Everton Premier League relegation clash

Celebrity Tottenham supporter Adam Richman has delivered a scathing online outburst against Cristian Romero following reports that the Spurs captain will not be present for the club’s crucial Premier League relegation battle against Everton. The well-known television host criticised the Argentina international’s controversial choice to travel abroad rather than stand by his struggling teammates during a defining moment of the season.

Captain absent for survival showdown

The World Cup-winning defender has been out of action for the North London club since sustaining a serious knee injury in April during a match against Sunderland. Despite holding the captain’s armband, Romero has reportedly decided not to attend the final game of the campaign at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Instead, the 28-year-old centre-back has opted to make a 7,000-mile journey back to Argentina to watch his boyhood club compete in a historic domestic title decider. His decision, coupled with an already fractured relationship between the dressing room and the board, has provoked outrage among Tottenham supporters.

Romero called an 'irredeemable d*ckhead'

The news of Romero’s travel plans triggered an immediate and unfiltered response from the Man v Food presenter. Expressing his frustration on social media, Richman wrote: “Hope everyone has a great weekend. Except you, Cristian Romero – you irredeemable d*ckhead.”

Boyhood allegiance takes precedence over London crisis

South American football expert Tim Vickery was the first to reveal the reason behind Romero’s trip to Buenos Aires, explaining the emotional context of his decision. Speaking to talkSPORT, Vickery said: “He will be at the final of the Argentine Championship between Belgrano and River Plate.

“Belgrano are Romero’s club. It’s the team where he began his career, and he’s a lifelong fan. Belgrano have never won the Argentine Championship. They’re up against River Plate, who have won more titles than anyone else, so this occasion is historic. Fifteen years ago, these two sides met in the play-off that relegated River Plate. If Tottenham going down is a disaster, River Plate going down was an even bigger one.”

Tottenham face make-or-break clash

Tottenham must avoid defeat against Everton on Sunday afternoon to secure their Premier League status and safeguard an estimated £250 million in revenue. The pressure is immense, particularly as Spurs have failed to win any of their last 10 home league fixtures. If Tottenham falter and West Ham manage to beat Leeds, the North London club could face the devastating prospect of relegation to the Championship.
