Tezzbuzz Desk- If you are planning to start your own business, then a great opportunity has come for you. National Capital Region Transport Corporation i.e. NCRTC has issued tender for licensing commercial space at Sarai Kale Khan Namo Bharat station of Delhi-Meerut Rapid Rail Corridor.

NCRTC aims to develop the station not just as a transport hub but as a modern commercial centre, so that passengers can get all the facilities at one place.

Commercial space will be available at the station

Under the scheme, about 818 square meter area is being made available for commercial activities on the ground floor of Sarai Kale Khan station. Space will be given at a total of 8 different places in the station premises.

The size of these units ranges from 17 square meters to 247 square meters. These include both already built and vacant units.

You can apply till 17th June

Interested businessmen and investors can participate in the e-tendering process till June 17. The license period for these commercial spaces has been fixed by NCRTC from 9 years to 15 years.

These spaces can be used for food and beverage outlets, cafes, convenience stores, service centres, pod services and other retail businesses.

Sarai Kale Khan will become a big transport hub

The 82 km long Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor is the country’s first high-speed regional rapid transit system. It connects Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Modipuram in Meerut.

Sarai Kale Khan station is being developed as a major multi-modal transport hub. This station is directly connected to Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station, ISBT, Pink Line of Delhi Metro and Ring Road.

NCRTC believes that this initiative will provide better facilities to the passengers and will also create new business opportunities for the traders.
