New Delhi: The first images from the rooftop of the Bhopal residence in Katara Hills where actor and model Twisha Sharma was found, in connection with her alleged suicide, has been accessed.

The 33-year-old was reportedly found hanging at this location on May 12, sparking an intense investigation that has since escalated into a case involving allegations of dowry death.

What happened to Twisha

Twisha was found hanging at her matrimonial home in Bhopal under suspicious circumstances. She had married Bhopal-based lawyer Samarth in December 2025, roughly five months before her death.

The official post-mortem cited hanging as the cause of death, but her family pointed to multiple injury marks on her body, alleging that she was murdered, and did not commit suicide. It is also alleged that Twisha terminated her pregnancy after her husband questioned her whose child she was carrying, accusing her of having extra-marital affair.

Meanwhile, her body remains at the AIIMS Bhopal mortuary while forensic and legal investigations proceed.

Second autopsy ordered

In a dramatic turn in the Twisha Sharma death case, the Jabalpur High Court on Friday ordered a second post-mortem, directing that a specialised team constituted by the Director of AIIMS Delhi conduct the procedure in Bhopal.

Justice Avnindra Kumar Singh passed the order after serious concerns were raised regarding the first autopsy report, forensic inconsistencies and gaps in the investigation.

The court directed that Twisha’s body be preserved at minus 80 degrees Celsius till the second autopsy is conducted. Videography of the entire procedure has also been mandated and will form part of the final report.

Samarth arrested

Furthermore, twisha's husband Samarth, who had been absconding since his wife's mysterious death on May 12 was arrested ten days after her death. He emerged before the public on Friday as he reached the Jabalpur court to surrender himself.

Samarth was taken into custody by the Jabalpur Police and brought to  Bhopal in the early hours of Saturday.

Samarth BCI License Suspended

Adding more to it, the Bar Council of India (BCI) on Friday suspended the bar license of Bhopal-based advocate Samarth Singh with immediate effect, ten days after his wife Twisha Sharma was found hanging at their home under mysterious circumstances.

'Mother-In-Law Accused Of Judicial Coverup'

Twisha's family has accused her mother-in-law Giri Bala Singh of a “judicial cover-up”, claiming that she made frantic phone calls to several judges and influential figures shortly after Twisha’s death.

According to the family, she made over 40 phone calls to judges, ministry-linked individuals and influential figures shortly after Twisha’s death in Bhopal. Twisha’s father released a list of purported mobile numbers contacted by Giri Bala.

Calls logs accessed by Republic TV revealed that she allegedly dialled a district judge nine times in one day, and also contacted CCTV operators and an IPS officer in the Lokayukta.

She also called her son, Samarth Singh, three times after he fled.
