Manchester United have completed their first signing of the summer transfer window, with four additional acquisitions expected to follow soon.

The Red Devils have wrapped up one deal already, with several more in the pipeline as the club gears up for a busy off-season.

Following a difficult start to the campaign under Ruben Amorim, Manchester United have managed to finish strongly, currently sitting third on the Premier League table and well positioned for a return to the Champions League next season.

Although Michael Carrick continues to serve in an interim capacity, the club’s hierarchy is already planning ahead, seeking to strengthen the squad with fresh talent in anticipation of competing at the highest level once again.

Despite ongoing uncertainty regarding the managerial role at Old Trafford, United have begun moving decisively in the transfer market. According to reports from the Manchester Evening News, the club has identified four key transfer targets.

It is understood that at least two midfielders are on the agenda—particularly after Casemiro reiterated his intention to leave—alongside a young left-back and a left-winger to add depth to the squad.

The same report reveals that Manchester United have reached an initial agreement with Cristian Orozco, who could be one of the two midfielders mentioned. The Colombian teenager, aged 17, is expected to complete his move to England upon turning 18, with a transfer fee of approximately £750,000 agreed.

Orozco, a highly promising defensive midfielder and captain of Colombia’s Under-17 team, has reportedly already visited Manchester to familiarise himself with the city ahead of the move. Sources close to FourFourTwo understand that United plan to give the youngster adequate time to adapt before integrating him into the senior setup.

With Colombia experiencing a footballing revival on the international front, a growing number of talented players are making their way into Europe’s top leagues. United’s acquisition of Orozco further highlights their strategy of investing in top young prospects worldwide to secure the club’s long-term future in the Premier League.

Since the INEOS takeover, Manchester United have added several young players to their ranks, including Patrick Dorgu, Senne Lammens, Ayden Heaven and Chido Obi, as part of their efforts to reduce the squad’s average age while maintaining financial prudence.

Orozco could be one of up to three midfield reinforcements this summer, with more experienced names such as Elliot Anderson and Sandro Tonali also being considered by the club’s recruitment team.

Manchester United will resume their Premier League campaign on April 13 when they host Leeds United at Old Trafford.
