Washington. Elon Musk involved in the world’s most powerful rocket system (Elon Musk) company of (SpaceX) ‘s ambitious spacecraft Starship (Starship) is once again in the headlines. The Starship, launched from Texas, made a hard splashdown in the Indian Ocean after a successful flight into space, but suffered a massive explosion as soon as it landed in the water. The video of this blast is becoming increasingly viral on social media.
Although this explosion surprised people, SpaceX has called it not a failure but an important part of the mission. According to the company, the biggest achievement was that the Starship, flying on the fixed route, reached the designated area safely and landed in the sea in a controlled manner.

Historic flight from Texas
SpaceX tested this next generation rocket system from its Starbase launch site in Texas. The starship was launched with the help of a super heavy booster. The company is preparing this rocket for the future mission of taking humans to the Moon and Mars.
After launch, Starship successfully separated from the booster and completed its space journey while approaching Earth’s orbit. After this the spacecraft started returning towards Earth.
The most difficult phase was the return and landing
According to experts, re-entering the Earth’s atmosphere is the most challenging phase for any spacecraft. During the return, the starship entered the atmosphere at very high speed. To reduce its speed and bring it in the right direction, the landing burn process was started.
The Starship managed to bring itself to an upright position just before landing in the water. This is being considered a major technical achievement of the mission. As soon as the spacecraft hit the surface of the Indian Ocean, there was a massive explosion and it turned into debris.
Why is the mission considered successful despite the explosion?
SpaceX says the purpose of this mission was to test the technology for safely returning the rocket, not to reuse it. The company had already chosen the desolate area of the Indian Ocean as the landing zone so that there would be no danger.
Experts believe that the return of the starship to Earth in a controlled manner and reaching the destination is a major success in itself. This is why despite the explosion Elon Musk And his team is considering this mission as a positive step.
SpaceX is continuously working on improving the Starship system. In the coming years, this spacecraft can play an important role in taking humans to the Moon and Mars.
