Meanwhile, Kohli had a day to forget as he perished early for a 11-ball 15. During his 11-ball stay, he was seen taunting Head by asking him to bowl off-spin and that is the tip-off point here. It is now going to be interesting to see if Kohli gets penalised for his on-field gesture towards the Australian cricketer.
RCB is now going to get two shots at making the final. This is good for them as they are also defending their title. RCB, along with Gujarat Titans finish Top-2 which means they will feature in Qualifier 1.
On Top, Despite Loss
Even with the loss, RCB top the IPL 2026 table. Rajat Patidar’s side ends the league stage with 9 wins from 14 games, 18 points. Gujarat Titans also have 18 points but finish second on NRR. SRH take third, also on 18 points with a lower NRR.
The Royals are currently on the fourth spot with a real good chance of making the playoffs. They are on 14 points with a game to go. Punjab Kings are fifth with 13. Both RR and PBKS still have one game left. KKR also have a game in hand and are sixth on 13 points. DC, eighth with 12 points, also have a match left and stay in contention.
