The rising prices of petrol and diesel have increased the burden on the common man’s pocket. Meanwhile, once again there has been a shock of inflation. There has been a significant increase in the prices of petrol and diesel across the country including the national capital Delhi.
According to the information coming out, the price of petrol has increased by Rs 0.87 per liter and the price of diesel has increased by Rs 0.91 per liter. The increase in prices is going to have a direct impact on the common people because they mostly use petrol and diesel vehicles for their commute.
where and how much is the price
After the increase in the prices of petrol and diesel, petrol has reached Rs 99.51 per liter in the capital Delhi. Whereas diesel is available at Rs 92.49 per liter. Petrol in Mumbai is Rs 108.49 and diesel is Rs 95.02 per liter. Petrol in Kolkata is Rs 110.64 and diesel is Rs 97.02 per liter. In Chennai, petrol remains at Rs 105.31 and diesel at Rs 96.98 per litre.
Third increase in a month
This increase in the prices of petrol and diesel is surprising because the price of fuel has increased for the third consecutive time in a month. An increase of 90 paise per liter was recorded at the beginning of this week and the price has increased by Rs 3 per liter just a few days ago. Now once again due to increase in freight, freight transportation will become expensive. Due to this, we may see an increase in the prices of everyday essential items.
Inflation hits from May 15
The first increase in fuel prices was made by state-owned oil companies at 6 am on May 15. On this day petrol was made costlier by Rs 3 and diesel also by Rs 3 per litre. After this, the prices increased by one point on 19th and now the prices have increased again by one point.
Changes in crude oil prices
There are continuous fluctuations in the prices of crude oil in the international market. The costs of oil companies are increasing due to which a decision has been taken to increase the prices. This new rate has been implemented today at 6 am. These prices may vary due to local VAT and freight charges applicable in different states.
