Batting first, Gujarat scored a huge score of 229 runs losing 4 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, the entire Chennai team was all out for 140 runs in 13.4 overs. With this spectacular win, Gujarat Titans have 18 points from 14 matches and the team has reached second place in the points table. Whereas Chennai Super Kings’ dream of reaching the playoffs was shattered.

Talking about Gujarat’s batting, Sai Sudarshan once again performed brilliantly and played a brilliant inning of 84 runs. Captain Shubhman Gill also scored 64 runs in an aggressive manner and gave a strong start to the team. In the end, Jos Buttler batted stormily and scored unbeaten 57 runs in just 27 balls, taking Gujarat’s score to 229. Chennai bowlers looked under pressure throughout the match and failed to stop Gujarat’s batsmen.

Chennai Super Kings, which set out to chase the big target of 230 runs, had a very bad start. The team lost the wickets of Sanju Samson, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Urvil Patel in the initial overs itself.
