A very big and relieving good news has emerged for the farmers of Maharashtra. Just before the beginning of the Kharif season, the Maharashtra government has taken many historic decisions regarding farming and agricultural loans. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has issued many strict and important instructions regarding banking, loan waiver and fertilizer distribution system to rescue the farmers of the state from huge financial problems.
The government clearly says that the farmers should get the necessary facilities for sowing and farming on time, so that they do not have to face any kind of shortage or problem. Let us know about those 5 big decisions of the government which are going to change the fate of the farmers.
Now bad CIBIL score will not make you a villain, you will get crop loan directly
The biggest and historic relief given to farmers by the government is to crop loan. Now farmers will not have to worry about bad CIBIL score while taking loan for farming. Generally, banks check the CIBIL score before approving any kind of loan and reject the loan if the score is bad. But now it has been decided to completely exempt farmers from this strict rule in Maharashtra. The Chief Minister has given clear instructions to all the banks in a strict tone that crop loan of any poor or needy farmer should not be stopped just on the pretext of bad CIBIL score. Thousands and lakhs of farmers of the state are expected to get direct benefits from this decision of the government.
Big gift to loanee farmers, surety of loan waiver before June 30
The Chief Minister has also given a huge and confidence-inspiring assurance to the farmers waiting for farm loan waiver. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the necessary discussion at the cabinet level regarding loan waiver has been completed. As soon as the government receives the loan data of farmers from the remaining districts of the state, the entire process of loan waiver will be officially started before June 30. This step of the government is likely to provide huge relief to the farmers who have been burdened with financial crisis and debt for a long time.
Government’s bumper preparations for Kharif season
This time in Maharashtra, planning has been done on a large scale regarding Kharif crops. The total area of Kharif crops this season has been estimated to be around 152 lakh hectares. This time also soybean and cotton crops are going to have the largest share in the state. The Chief Minister has given strict instructions to the top officials of the Agriculture Department that all the necessary arrangements to high quality seeds, fertilizers and irrigation should be completed in time, so that the farmers do not have to wander in the market for anything at the time of sowing.
Strict legal action will be taken against fertilizer dealers who forcibly sell goods.
The Chief Minister has also taken a very strict and tough stance against the black marketing of fertilizers and fertilizers or against the arbitrary shopkeepers. He has given a clear warning that if any fertilizer dealer or seller forcibly forces the farmers to buy any other useless item or medicine instead of providing the necessary fertilizer, then strict legal action will be taken against him immediately and his license can also be cancelled. The main objective of the government is that farmers can easily get fertilizers and other agricultural materials at the right and reasonable prices.
Less rain forecast, government already alert about monsoon
The initial estimates of the Meteorological Department have definitely raised some concerns this time. According to estimates, the monsoon rains between June and September this year may be slightly less than normal. However, farmers do not need to panic because the government has already geared up for this. In view of the possibility of less rainfall, work has already been started on water conservation, alternative means of irrigation and arrangements for crops growing in less water, so that even if a drought-like situation arises, there is minimal loss to the crops of the farmers.
