UP Petrol Diesel Price: Petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged on Friday, May 22. Earlier on Tuesday, oil marketing companies (OMCs) had increased fuel rates, which was the second increase within a week. Earlier, fuel prices were increased by ₹3 per litre. Oil marketing companies (OMCs) revise fuel prices daily at 6:00 am and adjust them according to changes in global crude oil prices and currency exchange rates.

Due to the ongoing conflict between Iran and America, the increased prices of crude oil are putting pressure on OMCs, due to which they are incurring huge losses daily. India imports 85–90 percent of its crude oil, making prices volatile amid geopolitical turmoil.
