Reports suggest that Arsenal will need to make player sales this summer, raising questions about whether Myles Lewis-Skelly could be among those leaving the Emirates Stadium.

According to fresh indications, Arsenal may be preparing to sanction an exit for young midfielder Myles Lewis-Skelly in the upcoming transfer window.

The North London club are under pressure to sell players this summer due to their significant spending in the previous off-season, which saw them among the top spenders in the Premier League.

Ben White has also been mentioned as a possible departure, with his playing time reduced this campaign following the impressive form of Jurrien Timber.

Following a breakout campaign in 2024/25, Lewis-Skelly has struggled to secure regular Premier League starts this season, making only one appearance under Mikel Arteta so far.

While the Gunners remain unbeaten in European competition, the 18-year-old has featured more prominently there, playing in seven of Arsenal’s nine matches and starting six of them.

Arsenal’s hierarchy are reportedly considering several incoming transfers, and discussions involving sporting director Andrea Berta suggest interest in Newcastle United defender Tino Livramento. This development could further affect Lewis-Skelly’s standing at the club, especially amid reports linking the Gunners with a young Bundesliga prospect.

French outlet L’Equipe reports that Arsenal are currently ‘working’ on a deal to sign RB Leipzig centre-back Castello Lukeba, who has continued to impress in the German Bundesliga.

Under contract until 2029, Lukeba has made 19 Bundesliga appearances this season, scoring once from his position in central defence.

The next major milestone for the 23-year-old defender will be to cement his place in the French senior national team, having earned only one cap so far under Didier Deschamps.

Lukeba developed through the youth ranks at Olympique Lyonnais before completing his move to RB Leipzig in 2023.

In the opinion of FourFourTwo, Arsenal may need to offload either Ben White or Myles Lewis-Skelly to create both financial flexibility and space within the squad if they intend to pursue a signing of Lukeba’s calibre.

Another player linked with a potential summer exit is Gabriel Jesus, as Mikel Arteta looks to revamp his squad ahead of the new campaign.
