Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembele has shared his ambitious club and international goals as he prepares for a defining summer across Europe and the global stage. The French winger has made it clear that his hunger for success is still strong, as he looks to capture another Champions League crown, World Cup triumph with France, and possibly add another Ballon d'Or to his name.
Big ambitions for club and country
Speaking with RMC’s Rothen s’enflamme, the PSG star discussed his determination to keep winning football’s major honours. Already having reached the top of the sport, Dembele now has his eyes set on what he describes as a “triple-double” in 2026 — a second Champions League title, a second World Cup with France, and a second Ballon d'Or.
The 2025 Ballon d'Or winner emphasised that team achievements always come before personal accolades. “When you win once, you naturally want to win several times, but I always prioritise the team,” Dembele said. “The most important thing is to win the Champions League. I also have a goal that has been in my mind for a long time with the French national team — to have a great World Cup. After that, we’ll see what happens.”
Thriving under Luis Enrique’s guidance
Dembele’s revival in Paris has been shaped significantly by manager Luis Enrique. The Spanish coach has helped him evolve into a more complete player, contributing 19 goals and 11 assists across all competitions this season, while also improving his defensive commitment. Dembele credits his progress to a better understanding of his responsibilities within the squad.
“I try, with every touch and every match, to give my best, to improve with every ball, and to set an example,” Dembele said. “These last two years, things have gone well for me. The coach spoke to me and explained that I had an important role in the team — to be a role model for both senior and younger players. I want to keep performing consistently, whether it’s in small or big matches.”
Committed to PSG’s long-term vision
Despite ongoing speculation about the futures of high-profile players at the Parc des Princes, Dembele has reaffirmed his loyalty to the Ligue 1 champions. While chasing more personal and collective glory, he insists he is fully invested in PSG’s project and has no plans to leave anytime soon.
Under contract until 2028, the Frenchman appears happy and settled within the club’s structure. Addressing the rumours about his next move, he confirmed, “I will be 100% present next season,” while adding that he is content with the staff, the president, and his teammates.
Chasing more silverware
Dembele’s relentless pursuit of trophies continues to fuel his performances, making him one of the most dangerous attackers in European football over the last two seasons. For the former Barcelona forward, numbers are only a reflection of his drive to compete. “I am hungry to score goals, to provide assists, and to win trophies,” he concluded during his interview.
PSG will look to defend their Champions League title when they play Arsenal in the final at the Puskás Aréna on May 30.
