Rajasthan Royals’ young opening batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who created a stir with his stormy batting in IPL 2026, is constantly in the headlines these days. Even though Vaibhav missed his century in the match played against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Jaipur, his explosive innings won the hearts of the fans. After completing his half-century in this match, Vaibhav had a unique celebration by making ‘A’ with his hand on the field. The real and very emotional secret behind that ‘A’ celebration, about which he lied and dodged in the post-match interview, has finally been revealed in the dressing room.
Missed a century but celebrated by scoring ‘A’, hid the secret in post match interview
Vaibhav Suryavanshi was out after scoring only 93 runs against Lucknow Super Giants and missed his brilliant century. The disappointment of not scoring a century was clearly visible on his face, but earlier when he had completed his half-century, his happiness knew no bounds. Celebrating his half-century, he made an ‘A’ sign with his fingers in the air. When he was awarded the ‘Player of the Match’ award for his brilliant innings, the anchor asked him the meaning of this special celebration.
At that time, on-air Vaibhav turned the matter around and said, “I don’t know the meaning of it myself. I try to do something new in every match. I don’t really plan it and there is no deep meaning behind it. What I did in the last match also had no meaning.”
Secret revealed in the dressing room: This was a special gesture for mother Aarti Suryavanshi
When the Rajasthan Royals team returned to the dressing room after the end of the match, franchise manager Romi Bhinder surrounded Vaibhav and asked him about the same ‘A’ celebration again. This time Vaibhav could not hide his smile and he immediately revealed the secret which he was hiding from the world. Vaibhav told that this celebration was for his mother, whose name starts with ‘A’ (Aarti Suryavanshi).
In a video shared by Rajasthan Royals on social media, Vaibhav expressed his heartfelt feelings and said, “I have dedicated this celebration to my mother. Her name starts with ‘A’. I did not want to tell this to everyone on-air, because it is a very personal matter of mine. I wanted to keep it like this, but yes, it was especially for her.”
Vaibhav Suryavanshi makes waves in IPL 2026, leads in Orange Cap race
Vaibhav Suryavanshi is currently making a string of records in IPL 2026. He has become the first Indian batsman in the history of IPL to hit more than 50 sixes in a single season. On the basis of this explosive rain of runs, Vaibhav Suryavanshi is also leading in the race for Orange Cap of IPL 2026. This young star from Rajasthan is winning the hearts of the cricket world with both his batting and his innocence.
