It is ridiculous to talk about Kashmir in a country that has the stigma of genocide. India reminded Pakistan of the 1971 incident at the United Nations. At the same time, New Delhi said, Pakistan’s “long tainted” history proves that it is obsessed with trying to blame internal failures by spreading violence inside and outside the country.

The UN Security Council held its annual debate on Wednesday. India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Harish Parbthaneni was present there. In the meeting, the Pakistani representative raised the issue of Jammu and Kashmir. India responded to that. “Pakistan continues to interfere in India’s private internal affairs despite its long and tainted history of genocide,” Parbthaneni said. On the other hand, he also spoke about Islamabad’s military operations in Afghanistan. Said, “The world has not forgotten that Pakistan carried out an airstrike on a hospital in Kabul during the holy month of Ramadan this year. The world has not forgotten that.” He further said, “269 innocent citizens have died in this cowardly and violent act. Another 122 have been injured. This is not acceptable. Those who target innocent citizens in the dark do not deserve to speak policy. This is hypocrisy.”

When talking about Pakistan’s ‘tainted history’, the 1971 genocide did not come to mind. He said, “During Operation Searchlight that year, Pakistan Army gang-raped and massacred nearly four lakh women of their own country.”
