KKR had a bad start. Deepak Chahar dismissed Finn Allen in the very first over. Manish Pandey, who came at number three, batted carefully with captain Ajinkya Rahane. The partnership between the two was only 38 runs in 28 balls. After scoring 21 runs, Rahane became the victim of Corbin Bosch in the last over of the powerplay. Cameron Green could not do anything special and could only score 4 runs on 8 balls. KKR had lost three wickets for 54 runs in the 8th over.
Playoff race exciting, battle between 5 teams
Manish Pandey got the support of Rovman Powell. Powell got two lives and taking advantage of this, both of them made a half-century partnership. KKR team also crossed 100 during this period. Manish Pandey was moving towards fifty but Jasprit Bumrah bowled him. Pandey scored 45 runs with the help of 6 fours in 33 balls. Rovman Powell scored 40 runs in 30 balls before being dismissed by Allah Ghazanfar.
Tejasvi Dahiya, who came as a concussion substitute in place of Angkrish Raghuvanshi, played an inning of 11 runs in 12 balls. Rinku Singh finished the match by hitting a four in the 19th over. Corbin Bosch took maximum three wickets.
