The difference in military power between America and Iran is sky-deep. After this, America has gained momentum in the recent war. The same was proved in the newly published report of the US Army. It is reported that 42 US warplanes have been destroyed so far in the Middle East war that began on February 28. This includes drones. The ‘Congressional Research Service’ (CRS) in their report, however, mentioned some other factors besides Iran’s retaliation.
Meanwhile, the Pentagon said that the war with Iran has cost the US treasury 29 billion dollars. The Pentagon announced on May 12 that much of this spending went toward repairing war-damaged military equipment. According to the CRS, a total of four F-15E Eagle fighter jets, one F-35A Lightning fighter, one A-10 Thunderbolt 2 fighter, seven KC-135 Stratotanker aerial refueling aircraft, one E-3 Sentry airborne early warning and control system aircraft, two MC-130J Commando 2 special operations aircraft were destroyed or damaged in the battle.
Also one HH-60W Jolly Green 2 combat search and rescue helicopter, 24 MQ-9 Reaper medium-altitude long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicles and one MQ-4C Triton high-altitude long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicle.
It should be noted that the US Department of Defense has not yet released any full statistics on wartime casualties. CRS, a policymaking body of the US Congress and various state committees, reviewed newspaper reports, Defense Department and US Central Command (CENTCOM) statements to release the casualty figures. Meanwhile, as soon as the CRS report came out, Iran attacked America. Khamenei’s country’s foreign minister, Seyed Abbas Araghachir, said more surprises await the US military if Trump does not stop the war against us.
