A high voltage political atmosphere was seen in Sadar Bazar police station of Saharanpur when Kairana MP Iqra Hasan sat on a dharna in protest against sending 5 of her supporters to jail. The MP had reached the DIG office demanding justice in the murder case of the son of an elderly victim, where her supporters were detained by the police and sent to jail under sections of breach of peace. Angered by this action, the MP staged a strong protest for about 3 hours and during this he also had a heated argument with SP City Vyom Bindal. The protest later ended after talks with the City Magistrate and assurance of the release of the supporters.
