With this victory, Bangladesh has won the series 2-0. For the first time, Pakistan not only lost the Test series in Bangladesh but also got wiped out. Earlier, Bangladesh had won by 104 runs in the first Test played in Dhaka.
Pakistan needed 121 runs on the fifth day to win the second Test played in Sylhet. The team had 3 wickets left. When Pakistan team came out to bat on Wednesday, it had 7 wickets for 316 runs. Wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan was at the crease. In such a situation, it seemed that Mohammad would lead Pakistan to victory. But the team’s 3 wickets fell adding 42 runs and the entire Pakistan team was all out for 358 runs and lost the match by a margin of 78 runs.

Taijul Islam took maximum 6 wickets for Bangladesh. If we look at the match, Bangladesh had scored 278 runs while batting first. Pakistan was reduced to 232 runs in the first innings. On the basis of first innings, Bangladesh had a lead of 46 runs. Bangladesh scored 390 runs in the second innings and gave Pakistan a target of 437 runs to win. Pakistan was bowled out for 358 runs and lost the match by 78 runs.
Liton Das became player of the match
Bangladesh’s wicketkeeper batsman Liton Das was declared the player of the match. Liton had scored 126 runs in the first innings and 69 runs in the second innings. Experienced wicketkeeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim was the player of the series. Rahim scored 253 runs in this series of 2 test matches.
This is Pakistan’s second consecutive Test series defeat against Bangladesh. Before this series, Pakistan had to face a clean sweep in the 2-Test series against Bangladesh at home.
