The Arsenal pair celebrated their long-awaited Premier League triumph with champagne following Manchester City’s draw against Bournemouth.

Arsenal’s 20-year wait for a Premier League crown finally ended on Tuesday night when Manchester City were held to a draw at Bournemouth, confirming the Gunners as champions.

Fans and players of Arsenal erupted in joy after the result, with celebrations set to continue when the team lifts the trophy at Selhurst Park on Sunday.

Some Arsenal players, in particular, seemed to relish the chance to respond to those who had doubted them throughout the season.

Bukayo Saka shared a video on social media on Tuesday night featuring team-mate Myles Lewis-Skelly, who humorously referenced the “bottlers” label often thrown at the team.

Arsenal had finished runners-up for three consecutive seasons, twice narrowly losing out to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City after crucial defeats late in the campaign.

Many believed the Gunners might once again falter after leading the Premier League table for much of the 2025/26 season, particularly following their 2-1 loss to City at the Etihad Stadium last month.

That clash had been billed as a possible title decider, but Mikel Arteta’s men bounced back with four successive victories while City dropped points twice, paving the way for Arsenal’s triumph.

With a bottle of champagne in hand and Saka cheering him on, Lewis-Skelly quipped: “They called us bottlers, and now we’re holding the bottles!”

After a gritty conclusion to the season that featured three narrow 1-0 wins, it’s unlikely anyone will brand Arsenal as “bottlers” again.

Arteta’s side now have the chance to complete an impressive double, with the Champions League final against reigning European champions Paris Saint-Germain scheduled for next Saturday.

Saka also addressed Arsenal’s critics in a video posted by defender Jurrien Timber.

“Light that up,” he said. “Let me tell you something — twenty-two years, 22 years. There was laughing, there was joking, but they’re not laughing anymore.”

Referring to the blacked-out Premier League trophy display at Arsenal’s training ground — designed to illuminate only when the team secured the league — Saka added: “Look, it’s going to shine, it’s going to shine bright.”
