Nepal embassy invites Indian content creators for sponsored trip; check eligibility and details

The Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi has invited applications from Indian social media influencers, vloggers and podcasters for a familiarisation trip to Nepal aimed at promoting the Himalayan nation’s tourism among Indian travellers.

According to the embassy, five Indian content creators will be selected for the trip to experience and showcase Nepal’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, spiritual destinations, adventure tourism and hospitality through digital content.

The initiative seeks to encourage more Indians to visit Nepal for leisure, pilgrimage, wellness, family holidays and adventure travel.


In an official announcement, the embassy said the selected influencers would get an opportunity to explore Nepal’s mountains, lakes, temples, stupas, festivals, cuisine and local culture while creating engaging online content for audiences in India.

Who can apply?

The embassy said applicants must be Indian nationals or India-based digital creators with an active presence on platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X or other digital channels.

Creators producing content related to travel, spirituality, lifestyle, food, culture, tourism, wellness or adventure will be given preference.

Applicants should also have a strong and engaged audience base and must be capable of producing high-quality videos, reels, podcasts, vlogs, stories or social media posts.



What selected participants will have to do

The chosen influencers will be expected to publish content based on their Nepal experience, including:

  • Travel vlogs and reels
  • Shorts and stories
  • Podcasts and social media posts
  • Practical travel tips for Indian tourists
  • Testimonials encouraging Indians to visit Nepal
The embassy added that selected content may also be reshared by the mission and partner organisations with proper credit to creators.

Selection criteria

Participants will be shortlisted based on:

  • Quality and relevance of content
  • Audience reach and engagement
  • Creativity and storytelling skills
  • Previous tourism or travel-related work
  • Professional reputation
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, Hindi or regional Indian languages

Interested applicants need to submit:

  • Full name, nationality, phone number and email address
  • Social media handles and platform links
  • Follower/subscriber count and engagement details
  • Samples of previous travel or tourism-related work
  • A short note explaining why they want to join the Nepal familiarisation trip
  • Proposed content ideas to promote Nepal among Indian audiences
The embassy said the familiarisation trip is part of efforts to strengthen tourism ties between India and Nepal and position the neighbouring country as an accessible and welcoming destination for Indian travellers.
