An important cabinet meeting is being held today in the capital Bhopal under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. There is a possibility of approval of the state’s new transfer policy 2026 in this meeting. A lot of enthusiasm is being seen regarding this among government employees and officials.

According to sources, the government is preparing to start the long pending transfer process and the outline of department-wise transfer can be decided under the new policy. Reports have also revealed that ministers and ministers-in-charge may be given limited powers, while separate provisions are likely to be made for voluntary and administrative transfers.

New transfer policy may get approval in cabinet meeting

The General Administration Department has prepared the draft of the new transfer policy and sent it to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. In the meeting, a final decision is expected on important provisions like maximum limit of transfers, minimum service period, rules for voluntary and administrative transfers, percentage limit at different levels (district, division and state) and giving limited transfer powers to the ministers in charge. Apart from the transfer policy, many proposals to women and child development, social justice, horticulture and development schemes are also likely to be discussed in the cabinet meeting.

These provisions may be in the new policy

It is being told that after the implementation of the new policy, employees can be given the facility to apply online within the stipulated time. Like the previous transfer policy, this time too there is talk of deciding the percentage of transfer based on the number of posts. Under this policy, the ban on transfers can be lifted for one month. Keeping the school education department separate from the general policy, separate guidelines can be issued, especially there can be special provisions on transfer of teachers engaged in census work. New parameters like keeping voluntary transfers separate from administrative transfers, strengthening the online application process and imposing some control on the recommendations of public representatives can also be included. Let us inform that in the last cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav had given clear instructions to the departmental officers that the complete proposal should be brought in the next meeting.
