JEE Advanced 2026 was successfully conducted on May 17 at various examination centers across the country. This year, the responsibility for conducting the examination lay with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee. With the examination now concluded, lakhs of students are eagerly awaiting the release of the answer key, response sheets, and results. JEE Advanced is recognized as one of the most rigorous engineering entrance examinations in the country, serving as the gateway for students to secure admission into the nation's prestigious IIT institutions. Following the exam, discussions regarding the difficulty level of the paper and the probable cutoff scores have intensified among students and teachers alike.

Among students who achieve high ranks, branches such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Electronics are expected to witness the highest demand. AAT Exam for B.Arch Students
Students aspiring to secure admission to the B.Arch program at an IIT must appear for the AAT—or Architecture Aptitude Test. This examination is mandatory for B.Arch admissions at the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, and the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. Registration for the exam will take place on June 1 and 2, while the examination itself is scheduled for June 4. The results will be released on June 7.
Admission Through JoSAA Counseling
Following the announcement of the results, the JoSAA counseling process will commence. It is through this process that seats will be allotted across IITs, NITs, and other participating institutions. Students will be required to submit their preferences for colleges and academic branches online. Seat allotment will be determined based on factors such as rank, category, and the availability of seats. To secure admission to an IIT, students belonging to the General Category must have obtained a minimum of 75 percent marks in their Class 12 examinations, whereas for students belonging to the SC, ST, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories, this threshold has been set at 65 percent.
