Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs duked it out against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals on Monday, and while the Thunder are largely expected to take this series, by the looks of the first game, it won’t be easy.

This matchup was neck-and-neck for the entire game, with the Spurs narrowly taking it in not just overtime but double overtime with a 122-115 final score. So, yes, don’t count the Spurs out.

Now, these two teams will meet again on Wednesday for Game 2 of the series.

Wembanyama had an impressive game with 41 points, 24 rebounds, three assists and three blocks while being in the action 48-plus minutes. He’s actually going viral for what he did before the matchup even started.

Before the game, Wembanyama went viral for one of his pregame rituals. In a clip shared on X by Jared Weiss of The AthleticWembanyama is spotted warming up with an assistant who’s trying to simulate a player getting in Wembanyama’s space.
