Lucknow, Read: By amending the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (Delimitation of Functions) Regulations, 1954, the state government has excluded 12 posts from the scope of the selection process of UPPSC. In this regard, a notification has been issued by Personnel Section-1.
According to the notification issued by Principal Secretary Personnel M Devraj, “Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (Delimitation of Work) (Twenty-second Amendment) Regulations, 2026” will come into effect with immediate effect. A total of 12 posts of Sports and Youth Welfare Department have been included in the mandate under new clause (e) in Regulation 3. These include 9 “Sports Officers” of the Sports Department and 3 “District Youth Welfare and Regional Development Team Officers” of the Youth Welfare Department. According to the government, This amendment has been implemented after the approval of the Governor under the provisions of Article 320(3) of the Constitution.
In the order issued by the Personnel Department, instructions have been given to all Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Divisional Commissioners, District Magistrates and concerned department heads to take necessary action. Copies of the notification have also been sent for publication in the Gazette. In the order issued by Special Secretary Avnish Saxena, it has been said that the government order has been issued electronically and its authenticity can be verified on the government website.
