Before the very important match being played against Lucknow Super Giants at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, a bad news has come from the camp of Rajasthan Royals. The team’s star all-rounder Riyan Parag is out of this ‘must-win’ match due to injury. Yashasvi Jaiswal, who is captaining this match in the absence of Sanju Samson, confirmed at the time of the toss that Riyan Parag is suffering from hamstring (muscle strain) problem. However, the surprising thing is that despite not being a part of the playing eleven, Parag has been included in the Impact Substitute (list of players), so that he can remain in the environment with the team.
After winning the toss, stand-in captain Yashasvi Jaiswal said, ‘Ryan has a little problem in his hamstring, but I hope he will recover soon. At present he is not playing today’s match. There have been three changes in our team. Sandeep Sharma, Sushant Mishra and Luan-Dre Pretorius have returned to the team.
Big hurdle in the path of playoffs
This injury has come at such a critical juncture for Rajasthan Royals when the team is trying hard to make it to the playoffs. At this stage of the season, where every match is do or die, the absence of an in-form player like Riyan Parag is a huge blow to the team’s balance and middle order.
Playing XI of both the teams
