Ludhiana. A sensational news came out from Ludhiana city of Punjab. Which has shaken the entertainment industry. Well-known Punjabi singer Inder Kaur alias Yashinder Kaur has been murdered. He was kidnapped at gunpoint from Ludhiana about six days ago. The body of Inder Kaur has been recovered from Nilo Canal. The family has identified the body. At present he has been kept in the Civil Hospital of Samrala.

Singer had gone out to buy groceries, was kidnapped on the way

According to the complaint of the deceased’s brother Jotinder Singh, on May 13 at around 8:30 pm, Inder Kaur had gone to the market in her Ford Figo car to buy household items. When she did not return home for a long time, the family feared something untoward. The investigation conducted at our level revealed that Sukhwinder Singh alias Sukha, a resident of Bhalur village of Moga, was pressurizing Inder Kaur to marry him. Frustrated by Inder Kaur’s rejection of his proposal, Sukhwinder carried out this bloody conspiracy.

The main accused had come from Canada to plot the murder.

Family members allege that Sukhwinder Singh had come to Punjab from Canada specifically with the intention of taking revenge on Inder Kaur. He, along with his other associates, surrounded the singer’s car on the way and kidnapped her at gunpoint. After this, the accused brutally murdered him and drowned his body in Nilo Canal. Immediately after committing the crime, the main accused Sukhwinder Singh went back to Canada, escaping from the legal clutches.

Due to police laxity the main accused was successful in fleeing the country

In this entire incident, serious questions are being raised on the working style of the local police. The victim’s family says that they had filed a case against the main accused Sukhwinder Singh and his helper Karamjeet Singh on May 15 itself. Despite this, due to police laxity, the main accused managed to flee the country.

Jamalpur police station in-charge, Balbir Singh said that the police team immediately reached the spot after receiving information that a dead body of a woman was found in the canal. The family members have identified the deceased as Inder Kaur on the basis of her dress and appearance. Action is being taken forward in the matter under relevant sections. The search for the absconding co-accused is underway and legal and diplomatic processes have been initiated to bring back the main accused from abroad.
