Rishabh Pant hasn't had a great campaign with the bat in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. However, on Tuesday, against the Rajasthan Royals (RR), he played some exhilarating shots to entertain the fans.
On the last ball of the 17th over, Pant shuffled across his stumps against Sandeep Sharma, who almost bowled a perfect yorker, and whipped it over backward square-leg for a boundary. Two balls later, Pant played a falling scoop and the ball went off the edge, between his pads and raced past the short fine-leg fielder in no time. Jofra Archer was the bowler on this occasion.
Pant's knock ended in the last over of the first innings after LSG were invited to bat first by stand-in RR skipper Yashasvi Jaiswal. The wicketkeeper-batter made 35 off 23 balls before being run-out by Archer.
