After increasing the honorarium earlier, now the Yogi government has made another historic announcement for them, which has created a wave of happiness among the teacher families.

Under this new scheme, now all Shikshamitras and instructors of Uttar Pradesh will be given the facility of cashless treatment (free medical treatment) up to ₹ 5 lakh for the treatment of serious diseases. With this step of the government, these employees will now be freed from the huge expenses of treatment forever.

Not only teachers, family members will also be able to avail full benefit of free treatment

The biggest and special thing about this scheme of Yogi government is that its benefits will not be limited only to Shikshamitras or instructors. His entire family members will also be able to avail the facility of free cashless treatment up to ₹ 5 lakh. Giving this information, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself said that to avail the benefit of this facility, all the teachers will have to go to the government’s online portal and fill the complete details of themselves and their family. As soon as the data feeding work is completed on the online portal, health cards will be issued to Shiksha Mitras and instructors within a week (7 days).

What is the number of instructors in Uttar Pradesh at present and what is their history?

Talking about the history and statistics of instructors in the state, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the process of appointment of instructors was started in Uttar Pradesh during the year 2011-12. At that initial period, 41,307 instructors were recruited in a total of 13,769 upper primary schools in the state. When he started his job, he used to get an honorarium of only ₹ 7000 every month.

With time, the total number of instructors within UP has now reduced to 24,296. Underlining their importance in the education system, the Chief Minister said that all these Shikshamitras and instructors have made a very important and huge contribution in strengthening the foundation of the state’s education system. He said in clear words that if the foundation of any system is not strong, then the future building built on it can never be strong. The government always wants Shiksha Mitras and instructors to get a respectable facility and a dignified life in the society, that is why they are being given this great gift of cashless treatment.

He said that these teachers never chose the wrong path of violence, sabotage or coercion to get their legitimate demands met. The Chief Minister said that when someone expresses his views in such a dignified manner, the government also never has any hesitation or problem in accepting his legitimate demands.

Basic Education Council has prepared online portal, will get huge financial relief

With this health scheme of the Yogi government, not only the teachers but also their dependent families have got a big security cover in times of illness. The Chief Minister said that to make this entire process easy and transparent, the Basic Education Council has prepared a special online portal. It will be mandatory for all Shikshamitras and instructors of the state to register themselves on this portal. Experts believe that this decision of the Yogi government will provide huge financial relief to thousands of Shikshamitras and instructors of the state and their houses will be saved from being sold in times of crisis.
