Sometimes hiccups can also occur due to the problem of gas in the stomach, in such a situation, heat a spoonful of ghee and add asafoetida to it. Drinking this mixture mixed with buttermilk provides relief. Drinking it twice a day will get rid of hiccups.
black pepper and sugar
Black pepper and sugar are also effective remedies for hiccups. Taking 2-3 black peppers and chewing them with sugar also provides relief from hiccups.
cold water
Gargling with cold water whenever you have hiccups is also beneficial. Cold water calms the muscles. Due to which the hiccups stop.
Apart from all this, hiccups can also be calmed by some home remedies.
use of paper bags
Take a paper bag and try to breathe into it with your nose and mouth facing inward. This will help in stopping hiccups. Keep in mind that you should not use plastic bags but use paper bags only.

There are some pressure points in our body, where hiccups can be stopped by applying pressure. For this, take out your tongue and try to pull it outwards. After this, hold the tip of the tongue with your finger and push it back inside. Hiccups can stop with this technique.

According to elders, when hiccups occur, something should be said to the person which will shock him. This shifts the mind and attention goes to other things. This also stops hiccups.
