Wembanyama scored 41 points and grabbed 24 rebounds, including a clutch three-pointer to force the second overtime. Rookie Dylan Harper added 24 points, while Stephon Castle contributed 17 points and 11 assists for San Antonio. Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 24 points, while Alex Caruso led Oklahoma City with 31.
The victory handed the defending champions their first playoff defeat this season and gave the Spurs a crucial home-court advantage in the best-of-seven series.
