A heavy blow has been delivered to Chennai Super Kings Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 playoff aspirations as they fell short to Sunrisers Hyderabad by five wickets at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium on Monday evening. Chasing 181 SRH were more than equal to the task sealing their playoff berth and pushing CSK to the brink of elimination.

Despite the outcome as the game at Chepauk drew to a close all attention turned to one man MS Dhoni.

Many fans felt the occasion was more than just another league game there was an underlying sentiment that it might just have been MS Dhoni's last appearance in Chennai for the CSK.
