There is good news for young aspirants dreaming of a government job in the railways. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has issued a short notification to fill 6,565 vacant posts for Technicians (Grade 1 and Grade 3). According to the notification, the application process for this recruitment drive will commence on June 30 and will continue until the stipulated deadline of July 29, 2026.
**Recruitment Details**
As per the notification, the RRB will undertake appointments for 323 posts of Technician Grade 1 (Signal) and 6,242 vacant posts of Technician Grade 3.
**Eligibility Criteria for Technician Posts**
To apply for RRB Technician Grade 1 posts, it is mandatory for candidates to possess a B.Sc., B.Tech., B.E., or a 3-year Polytechnic Diploma in the relevant field. Additionally, the candidate's minimum age must be 18 years, and their maximum age must not exceed 33 years.
To apply for Railway Technician Grade 3 posts, candidates must have passed their 10th standard examination from a recognized board and hold an ITI qualification. For Grade 3 posts, the minimum age has been set at 18 years, and the maximum age at 30 years.
**Selection Process**
For selection in this recruitment drive, candidates will first have to undergo a Computer-Based Test (CBT). Subsequently, successful candidates will be invited for document verification and a medical examination. Candidates who successfully clear all stages will be appointed to the vacant posts.
**Salary Details**
Candidates selected for Technician Grade 1 (Signal) posts through this recruitment process will receive a monthly salary of ₹29,200. Furthermore, candidates selected for Technician Grade 3 posts will be provided with a monthly salary of ₹19,900.
