Tennis ace Corentin Moutet revealed his underwear during a strange outburst midway through a Hamburg Open match against Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. Moutet was knocked out in the opening round of the ATP 500 event, losing in straight sets to his Spanish opponent.
But it was during the opening set of the contest where Moutet flashed the crowd at the event in Germany just after Davidovich Fokina won a point. Having missed Davidovich Fokina's return, Moutet immediately pulled his shorts down to reveal a pair of black boxers, before sticking his head in his hands.
Understandably, the crowd were a little startled by the stunt, with some inside the arena laughing in response. Moutet quickly pulled his shorts back up and got on with the match, but it wasn't to be for the world No.32, who was sent packing in under two hours.
It was the first appearance at the ATP 500 Hamburg for Davidovich Fokina, who will now take on either Fran Cerundolo or third seed Alex de Minaur in the next round. For Moutet though, it's just another stumbling block for the Frenchman, whose recent form has been somewhat of a disaster.
Knocked out in the opening round of the Italian and Madrid Opens, both to Spanish opponents, Moutet will enter Roland-Garros with just three competitive wins since the beginning of April. It will come as a disappointment to the 27-year-old, who had been trending in the right direction towards the back end of 2025, and could be outside of the top 32 by the time the French Open starts.
Speaking in October 2025, he explained: "I think this ranking [world No.32] better reflects my game. I knew I was capable of it, but today, to be among the top 30 players, you have to fight to play a lot of matches, you need a lot of experience to beat the best players, and that hasn't been my case in recent years, for various reasons.
"I knew I was capable of it, but I had to improve and there was room for improvement. I managed to adapt my game and I am proud to have achieved it with my team.
"It's a means to reach a goal. I want to aim higher. When I looked at the Top 30 players, I knew I could be part of it, but of course, I had to do my best to achieve that goal, and I think it's normal that I am now part of the Top 30."
