Debut message was received at 11 pm
Liton Das said that he was told at the last moment that he was going to play the next match. According to him, usually the players are given information in advance so that they can be mentally prepared, but this did not happen with them. He said that after sitting out two matches, suddenly a message came in the night that he would play the next day. In such a situation, there was not much time for preparation and the match also did not go in their favor.
IPL career limited to only one match
Liton Das was bought by KKR at a base price of Rs 50 lakh. He got his chance in a match against Delhi Capitals, where he scored four runs. Even in wicketkeeping, he could not make an impact and missed two stumping opportunities. After this he did not get a chance again and later due to family reasons he left the tournament and returned. KKR’s performance in IPL 2023 was also not special and the team finished seventh in the points table.
