The Honda City facelift has been spotted at dealerships ahead of its expected India launch on May 22. Alleged spy shots of the updated sedan have surfaced on social media, revealing several cosmetic and feature upgrades. Meanwhile, buyers interested in the current-generation City can take advantage of attractive discounts and benefits being offered by dealerships.

According to a report by Moneycontrol, Honda dealerships are offering benefits of up to Rs 1.56 lakh on the existing Honda City model.

The updated sedan is expected to feature redesigned LED headlamps with integrated DRLs connected by a slim light bar hidden within the grille, giving the front fascia a cleaner and more premium appearance. Honda has also revised the bumper and introduced new black-finished alloy wheels to add a sportier touch. At the rear, the facelift gets an updated bumper and a more prominent boot-lid spoiler, while the LED tail-lamps largely retain their current design.

Inside the cabin, the Honda City facelift is likely to get a larger free-standing infotainment touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. Spy images also suggest the presence of blue ambient lighting and a slightly revised dashboard layout. The sedan is expected to continue with its black-and-beige interior theme while adding features such as ventilated front seats and a 360-degree camera.

Mechanically, the Honda City facelift is expected to retain its current engine lineup. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 121hp and 145Nm will continue with both 6-speed manual and CVT gearbox options. Honda is also likely to continue offering the City e:HEV strong-hybrid version, which develops a combined 126hp and comes paired with an e-CVT transmission.

The facelifted Honda City will continue to compete against the Volkswagen Virtus, Hyundai Verna, and Skoda Slavia in the premium midsize sedan segment. Prices are expected to increase slightly over the current model, which is priced between Rs 11.99 lakh and Rs 19.99 lakh, depending on the variant.
