Since Kartavya’s release, many people have agreed on the fact that while the film is nowhere near perfect, what stands out is the performances. Unfortunately, this comes in both a good way and a bad way. Saif Ali Khan was heavily praised, but there was one actor who was being brutally trolled by fans.

On one hand, Saif has been stealing the spotlight. On the other hand, Saurabh Dwivedi marked his acting debut and fans were more than unhappy about it.

All throughout Kartavya, fans couldn’t help but notice just how bad Saurabh Dwivedi was in the movie. Being surrounded by so many good actors, including Sanjay Mishra and Saif Ali Khan, his performance looks even worse. They began noticing how, when he was speaking, he was only smiling, no matter how intense the scene may be.

His acting is being criticised a lot, especially because of how often it pulls you out of the world-building and the flow of the movie. Fans even went so far as to compare him to other worse actors and how his work made them look better.

One actor whose name kept popping up was Arjun Kapoor. For a major chunk of his career, he had been criticised for being a poor actor. This eventually led to a whole joke forming around him.

That has changed with the involvement of Saurabh Dwivedi. Fans have been jesting about how the Gunday actor looks phenomenal in front of the journalist. They are roasting the journalist because while they enjoyed him earlier, they don’t believe that acting might be the right direction. At least, not without practice.

Moreover, Kartavya’s scenes that have been going viral also show the difference between all the actors and him.

Kartavya is a Red Chillies Entertainment production, backed by Gauri and Shah Rukh Khan. Starring Saif Ali Khan, it follows the story of a man bound by duty and family as he uncovers just how corrupt the world of crime has gotten with the exploitation of children.

The film essentially marked Dwivedi’s acting debut, and unfortunately, the audience was not a fan.
