On Monday, following the oath-taking ceremony, Kerala's Chief Minister VD Satheesan presided over the inaugural meeting of the state cabinet. Alongside him, 20 ministers took their oaths of office. After the ceremony, Satheesan and the newly sworn-in ministers attended a tea party hosted by Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar at Lok Bhavan. Subsequently, the ministers made their way to the state secretariat.
Upon arrival, Satheesan entered his office to assume his responsibilities before proceeding to the hall designated for cabinet meetings.
The meeting also saw the presence of Kerala's Chief Secretary A. Jayathilak. During the session, Satheesan signed several documents and distributed copies to the ministers. It is anticipated that he will later address the media to provide insights into the cabinet meeting and the decisions made therein. The United Democratic Front (UDF) has formed the government after securing 102 out of 140 seats in the Kerala Assembly elections.
