Bhubaneswar: Amid fuel shortage scare across Odisha, the government on Monday asserted that there is no scarcity of petrol, diesel and LPG anywhere in the state.
After holding a high-level meeting in Bhubaneswar, Chief Secretary Anu Garg told reporters that Odisha is not facing any fuel crisis as petrol, diesel, LPG, and urea supplies remain stable across the state.
Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) informed the meeting that there is no shortage of fuel in the state, she said, adding that the OMCs are keeping a close watch on the market in order to prevent hoarding and black marketing.
The Chief Secretary urged people not to crowd fuel stations unnecessarily, stressing that availability is adequate across districts.
Warning that anyone found hoarding fuel illegally will face strict action, Garg said district Collectors have been directed to monitor the situation closely and take immediate steps against violators.
Officials emphasised that the government has coordinated with oil companies to ensure uninterrupted distribution.
