Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are reportedly set to attend a major royal event next month, it has been revealed. The sisters, who have kept a low profile following scandals surrounding their divorced parents, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, are reportedly on the guest list for their cousin Peter Phillips' wedding.
This is despite the fact that their parents, Andrew and Sarah, are not invited. If Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 36, attend the wedding, this will be the first time they have made an appearance with the Royal Family since Andrew's arrest in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Andrew is currently under investigation.
It is believed the sisters have not visited Andrew at his Norfolk home since his arrest.
Beatrice and Eugenie, who is currently pregnant with her third child, are likely to be accompanied by their husbands to the June 6 wedding at All Saints' Church in Kemble.
A number of royals are set to be in attendance to watch Peter, 48, marry NHS nurse Harriet Sperling, 45.
This includes King Charles, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne and Zara Tindall.
Prince William and Princess Catherine could also be in attendance, along with Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie.
A source told The Sun: "The Royal Family needs good news and nothing unites like a big church wedding.
"Beatrice is going and Eugenie is in the second trimester of her pregnancy but hopes to attend.
"The King always wanted both to remain part of the family. He made it clear they are welcome at family events."
