Students waiting for the Tamil Nadu Class 10 board results finally have a date to circle on the calendar. The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu, will announce the SSLC Result 2026 on May 20. Once the result link goes live, students can download their provisional marksheets from tnresults.nic.in using their registration number and date of birth.

The online marksheet will include subject-wise scores, total marks, qualifying status and other exam details. The result is expected around 9:30 am, though officials are yet to issue a final confirmation on the exact timing.

The Tamil Nadu Board conducted the Class 10 public examinations between March 11 and April 6, 2026, across the state in offline mode. Exams were held in a single shift from 10 am to 1 pm.


Students also received 15 minutes before the exam began to read the question paper and organise their answers before writing.

Tamil Nadu SSLC result 2026: Last year’s pass percentage

The Tamil Nadu board declared the SSLC results on May 16 last year. In 2025, the overall pass percentage stood at 93.80 per cent.

A total of 9,13,036 students appeared for the examination. Girls outperformed boys again, recording a pass percentage of 95.88 per cent, while boys registered 91.74 per cent.

In 2024, the overall pass percentage was 91.55 per cent. Around 8,94,264 students appeared for the exam that year, and 8,18,743 students cleared it successfully.

The board had announced the Class 10 results on May 19 in 2023, while the 2022 results were released on June 20.
