IPL Points Table 2026 Updated After DC vs RR match: Delhi Capitals secured two crucial points in the IPL 2026 standings after beating Rajasthan Royals by 5 wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Batting first, RR posted 193/8 in 20 overs.

Dhruv Jurel and captain Riyan Parag smashed half-centuries, while Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored 46 runs off 21 balls. Their lower-order batters failed to make crucial contributions as RR slipped from 160/2 in 14 overs to 193/8 in the next six overs. Mitchell Starc took 4 wickets, while Madhav Tiwari and Lungi Ngidi took two each.

In reply, DC chased down the target in 19.2 overs. Abishek Porel and KL Rahul stitched a 105-run partnership for the opening wicket. Brijesh Sharma broke the partnership and removed Porel for 51 in the 11th over. RR fought back in the middle overs by taking a couple of good wickets, but Axar Patel (34*) and Ashutosh (18* off 5) finished the match brilliantly.

In the afternoon game, defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) qualified for the playoffs after a 23-run win over Punjab Kings (PBKS). Batting first, RCB posted 222/4 in 20 overs, with Venkatesh Iyer smashing an unbeaten 73 runs off 40 balls. He smashed eight boundaries and four maximums, while Virat Kohli also hit a half-century. Tim David (28) and Devdutt Padikkal (45) also made important contributions.

Chasing the target, PBKS openers Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh were removed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar cheaply. Shreyas Iyer also failed to score runs and was dismissed by Rasikh Salam Dar for 1 run in the fourth over.

Cooper Connolly fought for a bit, and Shashank Singh also forged a 67-run stand with Marcus Stoinis, but they left too much for the death overs, and their efforts only ensured that the margin of loss wasn’t a heavy one. Rasikh Salam picked up 3 wickets, and Bhuvneshwar took two as PBKS only managed to score 199/8 in 20 overs.
