Mumbai: Speculation recently surfaced linking Pushpa actress Sreeleela with Mumbai Indians cricketer Tilak Varma. However, the claims have now been denied, with sources confirming that the rumours are not true.

The speculation began after the actress’s mother was spotted in the VIP stands during a cricket match, while comments made by Suryakumar Yadav further fuelled online discussions. Social media users also pointed to coincidental visits to the same locations, including temples, which added to the gossip.

However, a source close to the actress clarified, “The rumours surrounding Tilak Varma and Sreeleela are completely baseless and untrue. The two have never even met or spoken to each other. There is absolutely no truth to these speculations, and such fabricated stories should not be circulated without any factual basis.”

This is not the first time such speculation has emerged around the actress. Earlier, she was reportedly approached for an Anurag Basu film starring Kartik Aaryan, and her presence at private gatherings with industry figures had also led to similar rumours, which later faded.

Sreeleela currently has a film opposite Kartik Aaryan, which is expected to release later this year. The project is a romantic drama backed by T-Series.

Over the years, several actresses have been linked with cricketers in speculation-driven reports. Shehnaaz Gill was once linked with RCB cricketer Devdutt Padikkal, while Mahieka Sharma has been rumoured to be dating Hardik Pandya. Avneet Kaur was also seen cheering for Shubman Gill during a match in Dubai, though none of these claims has ever been confirmed by the individuals involved.
