Bhumika Chawla , best remembered for playing Nirjara in ' Tere Naam ', is once again making headlines after a recent public appearance. More than two decades after the film’s release, the actress was spotted at the airport, and her latest video has quickly gone viral on social media. The clip captured Bhumika in a simple outfit. The video was shared by Instant Bollywood with the caption, "Bhumika Ji ko dekh ke nostalgia hit ho gaya."

Fans shower love on Bhumika Chawla

Within hours, fans flooded the comments section with affectionate reactions and memories from their childhood. Many recalled how much they admired Bhumika during the early 2000s, especially after her memorable performance opposite Salman Khan . One user commented, "In childhood we thought Bhumika Chawla as Bhagyashree." Another fan wrote, "Tere Naam 2 abhi bhi Wait kar rahi hai." A third comment read, "Bachpan ki favourite heroine." Another user simply reacted by saying, "So changed."

'Tere Naam' made her an overnight star

Released in 2003, 'Tere Naam' remains one of Salman Khan’s most iconic films. The emotional drama became a major box office success. Her portrayal of Nirjara, a soft-spoken and compassionate young woman, earned widespread appreciation. Interestingly, 'Tere Naam' was her Bollywood debut. She reunited with Salman Khan in 'Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahaa', but she did not continue appearing regularly in Hindi films. Instead, she shifted her focus to South Indian cinema and her latest theatrical release is 'Euphoria', directed by Gunasekhar.

Before that, she appeared in 'Brother' alongside Ravi Mohan. 'Brother' mostly received mixed reviews from the audiences. Bhumika's most popular films in the South include 'Kushi', 'Okkadu', 'Simhadri', 'Jai Chiranjeeva', 'Middle Class Abbayi', 'Badri', and many other superhit films.
