Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath filled the online form under 'self-enumeration', the first phase of Digital Census 2027 in Gorakhpur. He appealed to the people of the state to participate in the digital self-enumeration process by May 21, calling it important for development and transparency.
Gorakhpur. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in the first phase of Digital Census 2027 'Swaganana' at his residence in Gorakhnath temple complex during his stay in Gorakhpur on Saturday. He completed the digital self-enumeration process by entering his own information through the online portal.

Appeal to citizens for participation in digital census
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath appealed to the people of the state to actively participate in the digital self-counting process that will continue till May 21. He said that this is the country's first completely digital census, the aim of which is to make development plans more effective based on accurate data.
He said that with the spirit of “Our Census – Our Development”, this campaign will work to give a new direction to the development of the state. Getting accurate data will help the government to prepare a better outline of public interest and welfare schemes.
CM Yogi filled all the necessary information on the online portal
The Chief Minister went to the self-counting portal and entered his information in all the prescribed columns. During this, he said that with the use of modern digital technology, the census process has been made more transparent, faster and effective. He said that availability of real time data will greatly help the government in implementing schemes and formulating future policies.
Digital self-counting campaign was started from Lucknow on 7th May.
It is noteworthy that on May 7, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had started the first phase of digital census 'Swaganana' campaign from Lucknow. Under this, citizens themselves are entering their information through online medium.
Census 2027 said to be the basis of inclusive development
CM Yogi said that census is not just a process of counting the population, but it is also a strong basis for holistic and inclusive development. Census 2027 will ensure that the benefits of development schemes reach the last person of the society equally. He said that the census process has been modernized and simplified through digital technology, which will increase citizen participation and ensure accuracy of data.
