New Delhi. The Ebola virus outbreak is spreading rapidly in the African country of the Republic of the Congo. According to media reports, at least 65 people have died so far, while hundreds are reported to be infected. Health officials have admitted more than 100 suspected patients to hospitals.
According to reports, 246 cases of Ebola infection have been reported so far. A large number of people have been found infected in the samples tested. Previously, between 2018 and 2020, the Ebola epidemic wreaked havoc in Congo, killing more than 3,000 people.
According to experts, Ebola is considered one of the most dangerous viruses in the world. Infected individuals may experience symptoms such as high fever, extreme fatigue, headache, diarrhea, vomiting, and bleeding. In severe cases, if not treated promptly, the patient may even die.
Health experts say the virus can spread through contact with an infected person, droplets from coughs and sneezes, infected body fluids, and contaminated objects. In some cases, contact with or consumption of infected wild animals also poses a risk of infection.
According to doctors, initial symptoms of infection include fever, weakness, headache, and muscle aches. Later, patients may experience vomiting, diarrhea, skin rashes, and internal bleeding. Even after recovering from the infection, many people may continue to experience symptoms such as weakness, eye irritation, and headache for a long time.
Meanwhile, concerns have also grown about the Hanta virus. According to reports, six passengers from a cruise ship infected with the Hanta virus have arrived in Australia and are being placed in quarantine as a precaution. Australian health officials have stated that they will implement strict monitoring and quarantine measures to prevent further infection.
